  • Our Approach

Fostering foundational literacy, numeracy and executive function.

  • The status of Uganda's Early Childhood Education

    $1

Invested in high quality early childhood programs

    $4-16

    Returned

The early years for every child are critical for a successful, productive life, and for the progress of our country. Studies demonstrate that for every $1 invested in high quality early childhood programs, the return is between $4-$16. Countries benefit through increased productivity, lower education costs and reduced crime.

  • Unfortunately,

In Uganda, most children between 3-5 years old are not enrolled in pre-primary education. Most preschools are privately owned and located in urban areas. Community based preschools are under equipped, lack essentrials such as cleanw ater and toilets, receive no government funding and are operated by untrained volunteers.

  • We believe that the end of poverty starts when every child has access to quality education.

    Our approach is

    • A structured curriculum
    • Teacher coaching
    • Culturally relevent children's storybooks
  • Our Strategy

We provide engaging early childhood programs designed to foster foundational literacy and numeracy skills in young learners. Early Childhood Programs What We Do enjuba is a children's education organization focused on improving foundational literacy, numeracy, and executive function for Ugandan Children through early childhood programs, storybooks, and spelling bees. Our tagline - See the World Differently.

    Lab School

We operate a lab school to create, test and refine curricula, create storybooks and play materials as well as train teachers in effective and structured teaching methodologies. Once we are confident of what we have created, we scale it to rural public and community schools.

Our specially crafted storybooks inspire a love for reading, helping children develop critical thinking and language skills. Storybooks for Growth What We Do enjuba is a children's education organization focused on improving foundational literacy, numeracy, and executive function for Ugandan Children through early childhood programs, storybooks, and spelling bees. Our tagline - See the World Differently.

    Community Engagement

We deploy design thinking in our approach to working with communities to create high quality early learning centers to benefit their children. To us it is very important that we co-create these centers rather than impose what we think is right. Wisdom is always in the room

We organize spelling bee competitions to enhance vocabulary and boost confidence among children in a fun and engaging way. Spelling Bees What We Do enjuba is a children's education organization focused on improving foundational literacy, numeracy, and executive function for Ugandan Children through early childhood programs, storybooks, and spelling bees. Our tagline - See the World Differently.

    Government Partnership

To scale this work, and therefore make significant impact across the country, we need governmemnt. We are currently working with the National Curriculum Development Center (NCDC) to evaluate, structure and pilot the new pre-primary curriculum, as we prepare for a 2027 launch
