  • Why We Exist

We exist to serve children aged 3-8 years, teaching them to read and count so they can thrive.

  • 5,524,653 Uganda Children

can't read or count well by age 10.

    7 in 10

children do not have access to

    high-quality pre-primary education.

In Uganda, 7 in 10 children do not have access to

    pre-primary education. With semi-illiterate parents,

they never get a chance to be exposed to letters or numbers, signifcantly impacting their school readiness.

As a result, while enrollment is high for grade one, many children get quickly bored with the new routine and things they are supposed to learn. 30% drop out of in grade one. This greatly perpetrates family poverty for generations.

    8 in 10

    children cannot read, or

do basic math, by age 10

Those wo stay on struggle with basic numeracy and literacy.

By age 10 or primary five, only 2 of every 10 children can read and understand what they read or do math well. These greatly impacts their performance in National exams that come just two years later, and therefore their educational journey thereafter.
