How the Enjuba Spelling Bee Works

The competition follows a structured journey from classroom to national stage:

School-Level Bees

  • Teachers conduct in-class spelling activities using the CREED values (Character, Responsibility, Excellence, Empathy, Discipline).
  • Schools then host their own School Spelling Bees, where winners advance to the next level.

District/Regional Competitions

  • Top spellers from schools compete at district levels, with words increasing in difficulty each round.

National Spelling Bee

  • The best spellers from across Uganda battle for the title of National Champion, earning the chance to represent Uganda at the African Spelling Bee!

Who Can Participate?

  • Primary school students (Ages 9-12)
  • Schools must register their teachers/spellers
  • Parents can also register their children as individual spellers
