When Little Learners Meet Big Dreams— Our Visit to Kiira Motors

September 1, 2025

At the close of July, our pupils had the unique opportunity to tour Kiira Motors Corporation, the leading franchise in sustainable automotive innovation. The visit was a hands-on learning experience that combined fun, discovery, and inspiration for the future.

From the moment we arrived, the engineers welcomed the children with warmth and patience, carefully breaking down technical concepts about motors and engines into language the pupils could easily understand and relate to. This turned what could have been complex into something exciting, accessible, and memorable.

A car has six major parts
The children were struck by the environment itself; the neat, clean, and well-organized premises made a strong impression. Exploring spaces like the boardroom, where they answered questions and spoke confidently into microphones, gave them a taste of professionalism and leadership in action.

One of the biggest highlights of the day was discovering that a car has six major parts—a fact new to both the pupils and their teachers. By the end of the visit, each of the learners was able to name each part and explain its role. Adding to this, Mwalimu Joel gave the children space to dream and create, guiding them to design and draw cars on a digital screen—an activity that turned imagination into practice.

At the end of the tour, the learners had a ride in the Kiira Motors buses. From their spacious interiors, comfortable legroom, and secure seatbelts, the pupils compared the experience to being in an airplane. Their excitement was immense, and the ride became one of the most memorable moments of the day.

Planting Seeds for the Future
The Kiira Motors trip was a wholesome experience that combined fun with lasting lessons. For many of the pupils, it was their first encounter with Uganda’s automotive innovation, and it may well have planted the seeds of future ambition. Who knows? Some of the country’s best engineers may trace their inspiration back to this very day.

We are deeply grateful to Kiira Motors management for opening their doors to our children, and to the parents and school administrators who made this experience possible. The trip was a spark of curiosity, imagination, and possibility.
